UNILAG expelled 57 students

The management of University of Lagos, Akoka has announced the expulsion of 57 students for various academic misconducts ranging from result forgery to examination malpractice.
Speaking on the development, the Deputy Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dr. Oghenekaro Ogbinaka, said the university
had investigated their cases and found them guilty before expelling them. According to him, “If a student is expelled for examination misconduct, it may be cheating, impersonation or result forgery and all carry almost the same punishment once proved guilty of the offence.

 According to the list released from the office of the Dean of Students’ Affairs, Professor Olatunde Babawale, the faculty of Social Science topped the list with 19 students, Business Administration, 16; and Education, six.
