The Delta Ijaw Youth Assembly, DIYA,
has called on President Muhammadu Buhari not to keep mute but say something over the pronouncement of
the Minister of Transport
and Aviation, Mr Chibuike Amaechi, that the Federal
Government has scrapped the Nigeria Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Delta
State.
The group expressed worry over the Presidency’s posture on views of well

scrap the university, saying that tempers were rising as the people were

President, Ebimobowei Oguma, said that the silent posture of President Buhari
on the issue is seen as a deliberate action to deny the Niger Delta development
