NFF Chairman Amaju Pinnick and other executive members
of the federation who are currently in Zurich for the FIFA presidential
election has appointed the Former Eagles
captain and midfield maestro Austin J.J Okocha and
former Super Eagles Coach,
Shuaib Amodu to lead the team against Pharaohs of Egypt , the decision came so
fast to save the country football.
As Super Eagles prepare to host Egypt in Kaduna on
March 25, NFF has drafted Okocha and Amodu to lead the team on temporary bases,
pending the employment of a new permanent coach. Meanwhile, the federation has
vowed to take Oliseh’s case to FIFA over breach of contract.
Oliseh resigned his appointment on Thursday, saying
he has to take the decision because the federation could not pay his salary and
that of his assistants. He also bemoaned the attitude of the federation towards
the players, alleging that the body had failed in its responsibility to manage
the team financially.
