People aged between 65-79 are believed to be the
most content, claims new survey.
Research conducted by the Office for National
Statistics (UK) found that on average, pensioners were ha
ppier than those aged between 40 and 59.

Experts believe middle aged people are under the
most stress.
The Office for National Statistics found this age
group were likely to be anxious as they were at a point of their life when they
had the most pressure as care-givers.
Glenn Everett explained: “The low well being in
middle-age might also suggest that those in this age group are struggling with
double responsibility of caring for children and for elderly parents.”
Experts analysed data from 300,000 adults in the UK
from 2012 to 2015, asking participants to rate how happy they were out of ten.
Researchers also ranked levels of life satisfaction
by test subjects’ scores of happiness and anxiety. However, as participants hit
80, new worries, such as poor health, bereavement and loneliness sprung up.
