Anambra State Government Endangers People's Lives by Allowing Them to Use Uncompleted Pedestrian Bridge

This is the picture of the recently constructed pedestrian bridge at MCC Onitsha. The bridge was after construction, put into use without fixing handrails on the staircase.

It can be recalled that the project was awarded in 2013 by the government of Peter Obi but was not completed before he left office in 2014, and was succeeded by Willie Obiano.

Nonetheless the Obiano government also abandoned the project for so long despite the lives being lost by people crossing the road, because of  its sloppy nature that makes it hard to see oncoming speeding vehicles before it gets to MCC junction where the bridge was supposed to be situated. More than fifty lives were lost, crushed by speeding vehicles at the area while the people interminably made frantic calls to the government for the completion of the pedestrian bridge.

The people are calling on the government of  Anambra state to put handrails on the bridge so that they will feel more relax while using the bridge because life is very important, sweet  and has no duplicate.More picture below.
